Working
The machine consists of mainly conveyor shaft, collecting tray and indented cylinder which is pressed with indents. The rice enters the machine through the feed stopper and is taken up by the indents of the rotating cylinder. The short and half broken grains are lifted by the indents and dropped into the collecting tray. By the conveyor shaft the broken grains in the collecting tray are passed to the delivery end. Long grains/head rice slipped out of indents are passed to the delivery side. There is an indicator scale provided at the tray end of the machine which indicates the position of the collecting tray. The position of the tray can be adjusted to achieve best separations.
